Tell us about yourself?

Hi, I am Ashutosh Bhatt from Delhi. I have started travelling when I was 15. Till now I have visited more than 16 countries and 50 cities. For me travelling is exploring the nature, learning the culture, making new friends and spend some time with my own thoughts. I quit my job in 2015 and became a full time traveller and continue my life with blogging which take cares of all my finances. Now, I am doing my passion named routeprints.com.

What’s your favourite place so far?

My favourite place so far is Venice, Italy. I didn’t have much expectation from the city but trust me, it took all my heart away. The culture, air, sunset, cafes all have their own beauty. I stayed in Generator Hostel, Venice and for that I have to take a boat because there is no other mode of transport which makes the city 100% pollution free and you can assume that a person who always stay in Delhi, how he feels like.

I met a local person through couch surfing and she helped me in exploring the true Venice. It was its own feel in getting lost in Venice streets. Every building in Venice have its own different colour and that’s make Venice a colourful city.

Also, I love betting and in Venice, I visited the oldest casino in Europe who still follows the vintage rules.

What can’t you travel without?

I can’t travel without my camera, headphones and shoes. I love to capture beautiful moments, the view which I think I will never see in my life again. Headphones always keep me busy while walking, eating and sleeping because I always use to hear some trendy country music which the localities refers me.

Do you prefer solo travel or with someone else?

I always prefer solo trip and stay in Hostels as it gives us chance to talk to people from different countries, talk about their culture, soccer and to increase our network. Those people are full of life and trust me you will not your daily routine.

I avoid travelling with someone because if you do that you have to give that person some dedicated time, which may be let you miss something.

Which country has the friendliest people?

Spanish people are the friendliest one. They are so open, that they even don’t care what others are thinking. They love their jobs, they love beer, they love parties and they know how to make someone laugh. So, I went to watch a champion league match at Madrid and I came with around 20 friends in just 90 minutes because of my Football jersey named “Bale”.

Who is the most interesting person you’ve met so far?

I have met a person Flo in Berlin, she was a teacher and from France. She is the most lovable person I have ever met. She doesn’t follow any religion as she thought it divides people.

Also, she travelled whole France, so she is a story in herself. Each line of her was telling me something which I don’t know.

She was very fascinating with India too, because she love that we people lives with our parents and do some crazy weddings.

What’s been your scariest moment?

I got robbed by 3 localities in Barcelona, but somehow I was able to save my cell phone and passport.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Fearless, adventurous and self-made.

What is your dream travelling experience?

My dream travelling destination is Switzerland, I had a chance to visit there, but I want to save something for my honeymoon: D

Who is your dream travel companion?

I want to travel with Shenaz. I just love her way of presentation, She knows her job and she

is doing it so well. She have many qualities which every traveller should learn.

What was the best place you stayed in?

As I told you The Generator Venice, is one of the best place I stayed. I love the view from the hotel and it was a unique experience with no noise and limited people around you.

How many photos have you taken?

I have taken around 13000+ photos still counting because for me, that’s a way from which you can live your memories again.

What’s the most interesting animal you’ve seen?

I have seen Silk worm. I found them interesting because after ½ hour they were fried and people are eating them.

Do you prefer hot, cold or temperate places?

I always prefer temperate places because in such places, there is no disturbance in our travel schedule. Also, lighting is good too so we can have good pictures.

Would you rather see a lot of places or get to know one really well?

I always stay at one place and know that place really well. I don’t care about how big is that city or place. The main concern is how much that city consists.

What’s the longest single journey you’ve taken?

I have done a six month trip to whole USA. Also, I guess you should have at least 4 months if you too want to cover whole USA.

Which religious or spiritual sites have you visited?

I have visited almost all the temples of Hyderabad and south and I love those. As an Indian, I respect my culture so much and always visited some ancient temple whenever I got a chance.

Which country has the best weather?

For me, Paris have the awesome weather. It’s always good throughout the year.

Do you prefer to walk, take public transport, or take private transport?

Walk. I always keep on walking because that’s the time where you explore the most of places. You can’t feel an experience and real life of that place if you keep public transport or private transport. But, For long distance, I always keep public transport.

What destination have you found to be overrated?

Umm, I think every place have its own thing and we can’t say its overrated but yeah I guess Prague is something which I don’t like so much. The city is small, there is only 4-5 places where we can visit and have good experience, But as such there is no different food and culture.

What’s been the best street food you’ve had?

Thailand. It’s different, it’s weird, its ugly but yeah its tasty. You will find anything and the price is also very cheap.

Also, their spices and smell are one of the best think in Thailand.

Beer or Wine?

Beer Anytime, By the way I have tasted around 95 different beers.

Finally, what are your thought about Himachal Tourist Places travel blog?

I guess that’s a very good platform for all the travellers, who want to reach good audience. As Himachal is one of my favourite destinations in India, so I keep on checking this blog. Also, Thank you for this opportunity.
